JC Video Product Return Policy
JC VIDEO PRODUCT RETURN POLICY
All returns require a return authorization (RA) number prior to shipping, to insure proper handling of your return.
No returns after 7 days from the date of receipt of merchandise. Returned merchandise will be accepted by JC Video Systems only if the following conditions are met (*below). A min 25% restocking fee on all returned merchandise. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. JC Video is not responsible for any shipping charges for merchandise being returned. JC Video highly recommends damage insurance on all items and proper packaging requirements are required for insurance to be in effect. JC Video maintains the highest standards in quality control. Every component is tested individually and collectively to insure proper function. Some video products, if found defective or damaged upon receipt, may be returned for exchange however JC Video reserves the right and sole discretion to exchange, repair in house, or submit for warranty service from the manufacturer of the item.
*All returns must include the original factory box and packaging (foam, plastic wrappings, etc.) and all instruction booklets and paperwork.
*All returns must be in its original mint and clean condition. Return on damaged or scratched merchandise will be refused.
*All returns must include all factory accessories which come with the item
*All returns must be authorized by our Customer Service Department. Call for authorization number and instructions prior to shipping any merchandise back. Enclose the original receipt or copy of it with your return. Also enclose a brief letter of explanation of why the merchandise is being returned.
Returned merchandise, which is lost or damaged in transit, are not the companies' responsibility, but rather the carriers. It is the buyer's responsibility to file claims with the carrier upon discovery of the problem.
Repairs on defective merchandise are handled by the manufacturer and not by JC Video unless otherwise indicated by the receipt or arranged through JC Video.
Any software purchases that have been registered or licensed cannot be returned for any reason.
Limited Hardware Warranty
JC Video Systems warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for
the time periods as set forth below. This Limited Warranty does not cover defects
caused by any other reason including but not limited to misuse, modification, improper
maintenance, accidental impacts, acts of God such as lightning strike or natural
disasters or operating off temporary power such as Generators or backup battery systems. Pursuant to the Limited Warranty, JC Video Systems will, at its option, (1)
repair the product or (2) replace the product with a new or refurbished product. For
purposes of this Limited Warranty, “refurbished,” means a product or part that has
been returned to its original specifications. No other remedies are offered.
Parts and Labor Warranty
For a period of two year from the original date of purchase of the product, JC Video Systems will, at its options, repair or replace with new or refurbished product, the
product determined to be defective. This Limited Warranty is invalid if
the factory-applied serial number (if applied) has been altered or removed from the
product. This Limited Warranty covers only the non-consumable hardware
components packaged with the Product. It does not cover consumables such as
batteries, cables, or technical assistance for hardware or software usage and it does
not cover any software products whether or not contained in the Product.
To obtain warranty service, you must deliver the product, freight prepaid, in either its
original packaging or packaging providing equivalent protection to the service facility
specified. A dated purchase receipt is required.
REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty shall apply to any repair, non-consumable replacement part or
replacement product for the remainder of the original Limited Warranty period. Any
parts or product replaced under this Limited Warranty will become the property of JC Video Systems. JC Video Systems warranties all out-of-warranty repairs and purchased
consumables for a period of ninety (90) days. JC Video Systems shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages
for breach of any express or implied warranty on this product. Except to the extent
prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose on this product is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty.
JC Video Systems warrants that the products shall be free from material errors and defects and shall perform according to the documentation provided or made available by JC Video Systems for a period of two years from the date of purchase or the minimum required period under applicable law. Customer understands that Seller may not be the manufacturer of all Products purchased by Customer hereunder and the only warranties offered are those of the manufacturer, not Seller or its Affiliates. The warranties provided by Seller are non-transferable and are valid for the original purchaser only. In purchasing the Products, Customer is relying on the manufacturer’s specifications only and is not relying on any statements, specifications, photographs or other illustrations representing the Products that may be provided by Seller or its Affiliates. SELLER AND ITS AFFILIATES HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, RELATED TO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTY OF TITLE, ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF NONINFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTY RELATING TO THIRD PARTY SERVICES. THE DISCLAIMER CONTAINED IN THIS PARAGRAPH DOES NOT AFFECT THE TERMS OF ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. Customer expressly waives any claim that it may have against Seller or its Affiliates based on any product liability or infringement or alleged infringement of any patent, copyright, trade secret or other intellectual property rights (each a “Claim”) with respect to any Product and also waives any right to indemnification from Seller or its Affiliates against any such Claim made against Customer by a third party. Customer acknowledges that no employee of Seller or its Affiliates is authorized to make any representation or warranty on behalf of Seller or any of its Affiliates that is not in this Agreement.
Seller warrants that the Services will be performed in a good and workmanlike manner. Customer's sole and exclusive remedy and Seller's entire liability with respect to this warranty will be, at the sole option of Seller, to either (a) use its reasonable commercial efforts to reperform or cause to be reperformed any Services not in substantial compliance with this warranty or (b) refund amounts paid by Customer related to the portion of the Services not in substantial compliance; provided, in each case, Customer notifies Seller in writing within five (5) business days after performance of the applicable Services. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN OR IN ANY STATEMENT OF WORK THAT EXPRESSLY AMENDS SELLER'S WARRANTY, AND SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, SELLER MAKES NO OTHER, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER, REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS OR COVENANTS, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, DURABILITY, TITLE, ACCURACY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PERFORMANCE OR NON-PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY RELATING TO THIRD PARTY SERVICES, ANY WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE PERFORMANCE OF ANY HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE USED IN PERFORMING SERVICES AND ANY WARRANTY CONCERNING THE RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES. THIS DISCLAIMER AND EXCLUSION SHALL APPLY EVEN IF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY AND LIMITED REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT NO REPRESENTATIVE OF SELLER OR OF ITS AFFILIATES IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY ON BEHALF OF SELLER OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES THAT IS NOT IN THIS AGREEMENT OR IN A STATEMENT OF WORK EXPRESSLY AMENDING SELLER'S WARRANTY.
Customer shall be solely responsible for daily back-up and other protection of its data and software against loss, damage or corruption. Customer shall be solely responsible for reconstructing data (including but not limited to data located on disk files and memories) and software that may be lost, damaged or corrupted during the performance of Services. SELLER, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS AND THEIR SUPPLIERS, SUBCONTRACTORS AND AGENTS ARE HEREBY RELEASED AND SHALL CONTINUE TO BE RELEASED FROM ALL LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE LOSS, DAMAGE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA AND SOFTWARE, AND CUSTOMER ASSUMES ALL RISK OF LOSS, DAMAGE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA AND SOFTWARE IN ANY WAY RELATED TO OR RESULTING FROM THE SERVICES.
Seller will not be responsible for and no liability shall result to Seller or any of its Affiliates for any delays in delivery or in performance which result from any circumstances beyond Seller’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to, Product unavailability, carrier delays, delays due to fire, severe weather conditions, failure of power, labor problems, acts of war, terrorism, embargo, acts of God or acts or laws of any government or agency. Any shipping dates or completion dates provided by Seller or any purported deadlines contained in a Statement of Work or any other document are estimates only.
